Successful installation at
Blackall Range Nurseries in Australia
We are very pleased with the successful installation of our special project at Blackall Range Nurseries in Australia. This is a picking system consisting of five Mayer conveyor belts, each 8m long and 300mm wide. After the mature plants are brought back from the field with a forklift, the pots are cleaned and separated using the sophisticated conveyor system before delivery to the customer. In this way, they can be easily sorted and grouped for the respective truck loads or market deliveries.
Blackall Range Nurseries is a family owned and operated wholesale nursery in Australia established in 1990. It supplies the highest quality plants to retail and wholesale nurseries, consignment stores and the landscaping industry. The farm is located on 83 acres at the top of the Blackall Range, 1 ½ hours north of Brisbane. The unique climate at an elevation of about 300m above sea level ensures that a wide range of trees, shrubs and grasses through to tropical plants can be grown. Thanks to their own trucks, they deliver weekly to Queensland, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and to all regional areas. Blackall Range Nurseries has primarily focused on the production of 140mm to 1.2m tall plants. The acquisition of an additional 53 hectares in late 2017 has allowed them to consistently supply their customers with an expanded range of varieties and grow larger plants and volumes.

Advantages of the Mayer conveyor belts at a glance:
The wide range of Mayer conveyor belts currently includes 4 different types. Single conveyor belts with fixed or variable adjustable motors as well as cardan shaft belts. The latter are available as driving cardan shaft belts with motor, which can drive the so-called clutch belts over a total distance of up to 36m.

All Mayer conveyor belts with cardan shafts are compatible with most well-known third-party brands and can therefore be flexibly integrated into your existing system. Mayer conveyor belts with fixed speed are ideally suited for use in combination with pot robots when equipped with an additional frequency converter.
Currently, we offer Mayer conveyor belts in standard length of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 meters. Widths range from 17, 21, 25 up to 30 centimeters. Special lengths as well as widths are available upon request.
