Mayer Laser & Sheet Metal Technology offers standard-compliant MAG, MIG and TIG welding. The combination of trained specialists and our own raw material purchasing promises above-average quality. Our welding robot enables us to weld components in a particularly cost-efficient manner. Of course, we are certified according to the quality management standard DIN ISO 9001-2015. Our efficient team at the Kisfalud site works in 3-shift operation and enables a particularly high throughput.

Process for thin sheet welding

Despite the low material thickness of sheet metal, a joint must be created that brings stability and minimizes the risk of material changes. Depending on the material and requirements, one of 3 common welding processes must be used.

  • Metal active gas welding (MAG) is suitable for non-alloy and low-alloy steels. It has a relatively high process speed, high weld strength and low distortion.

  • Metal inert gas (MIG) welding is suitable for non-ferrous metals and high-alloy steels. Only minor deformation occurs due to the sparse heat input. In addition, no slag is formed and no oxidation occurs.

  • Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) is slower compared to the shielded metal arc processes, but can be used in all positions and results in the best seam quality.

Project description: 

As part of SolaA development, a solar system will be installed on the building of production of the Kisfalud headquarters of the company. The implementation of the investment is carried out during the period of 1/5/2020 and 30/4/2022.

A solar system with a capacity of 251,6 KWP will be installed in the course of the project. The system consists of 3 inverters type Huawei SUN2000-50KTL, 1 inverter type Huawei SUN2000-60KTL and 553 pieces of monocrystalline solar cell modules type Longi 455. Aerofix support system will ensure fixing of the solar panels on the flat roof. The system also includes properly sized Ac and DC control cabinets, solar cabling, and solar connectors.
