Mayer Steel & Apparatus Engineering uses its CNC-controlled lateral and travelling column machines to machine large components weighing up to 50 t and 18 meters in length. The trained specialist personnel and calibrated measuring equipment promise above-average quality and guarantee an accuracy of up to 0.01 millimetres. Test our performance and benefit from our high flexibility and cost efficiency.
Rough milling and finish milling with external spindles and drilling or thread cutting of large components.
Creation of the CNC program at external programming stations and calibrated measuring devices guarantee absolute perfection.
Not only do we manufacture your components, we are also happy to support you in optimizing your designs.

In our upstream work preparation department, we create customized machining plans including the corresponding CNC programs according to the requirements of our customers. Here, all manufacturing processes are precisely coordinated with each other in order to achieve optimum production times with interlocking production runs. Thus all processes work together as one big system and offer time-optimized production “just in time”. In addition to the quick change of workpieces, the tools used as well as the specially required milling heads can be changed in short time intervals by automated processes. An extensive range of tools further supports the productivity on our machines.
At Mayer Steel & Apparatus Engineering we machine and mill unalloyed, low-alloyed and high-alloyed steels. Of these, approx. 90% of all welded parts are made of the common structural steel grades S235JR+N, S355J2+N, P355NL1 and fine-grained structural steels such as STE690 and STE960 and then precisely shaped on our modern lateral and travelling column milling machines. In spite of the highly technological machinery, the craftsmanship and deep technical understanding of our employees are always in the foreground.
