MAG
Metal Active Gas Welding
Welding of unalloyed and alloyed steel with active gas
MIG
Metal Inert Gas Welding
Welding of high alloyed steel (aluminium etc.)
TIG
Tungsten Inert Gas Welding
Welding with very high seam quality
Welding is still a craft activity that requires the highest level of skill in the use of welding equipment. In the metal active gas process (MAG welding) or in the tungsten inert gas welding process (TIG welding) an arc is created between an electrode fed by the machine and a workpiece. Shielding gas is supplied during this process to protect the molten metal from the negative effects of the air atmosphere. A flawless weld forms a perfect connection between two workpieces, whose durability does not diminish over time due to corrosion or other stresses.
Once the raw material has been procured, trained construction mechanics first lend a hand. Experienced skilled workers prepare the steel structures for the welding process by professional and dimensionally accurate tacking. All parts are precisely checked for their specified dimensional accuracy before they leave the metalworking shop. The welded constructions are transported in our generously dimensioned production halls by our crane systems with a load capacity of up to 50 tons. All equipment from the washing and open-jet cabin to the annealing furnace and the painting cabins are ideally suited for large dimensioned workpieces. All work, whether single-part or small series production, is manufactured “Made in Germany” at our location in Heidenheim in Southern Germany.
