Around 400 exhibitors from over 20 countries presented their horticulture products and innovations at the GreenTech, the international trade show for horticultural technology in Amsterdam. We visited from 11th to 13th of June 2019 and were able to discover many new and latest developments as well as to pick up exciting contacts.
Willburg Projecten BV is a growing company in the gardening sector specializing in the development and production of horticultural equipment. At the trade fair they impressively presented their revised pot washing machine. The machine is now equipped with an automatic detection system for pot sizes. The machine is thus even more flexible and perfect as an addition to our potting machines.
Visser Horti Systems also launched a new generation of planting robots with the presentation of the Visser AutoStix. AutoStix offers a new way to pique seedlings. The cuttings are delivered in biodegradable plastic strips and placed directly in the pot. This allows skipping a whole production step. The seedlings no longer need to be placed in trays to grow there.
The GreenTech trade show in Amsterdam counts as a must for all professionals in global horticulture and floriculture industry and offers not only inspirational sessions, but also the chance to expand international business networks. Like every year, for us the fair provided a great opportunity to meet many of our partners, distributors and customers in person. In the process, we are able to draw a half-year balance in the industry.
We thank everyone for many exciting discussions. We were particularly pleased about the meeting with our distributors Bellpark (USA), Mechnical Botanical (GB) and Ets Jolly (FRA) as well as Smith Gardens, one of our customers from the USA.
