Hubert Janßen, Owner
The horticultural farm Janßen in Kevelear (Germany) was founded in 1964 by Matthias and Margarethe Janßen with a focus on vegetables, cut flowers, potted plants and heather plants. Since 1998 the company is run in the 2nd generation by Hubert and Gabi Janßen. With Rapahel and Marek Janßen, the third generation is already in the starting blocks and secures the long-term existence of this innovative company in western Germany. Today, the family-owned company with more than 35 employees produces 30,000 m² of greenhouse space and 21 hectares of outdoor container storage space. The focus is on Calluna Vulgaris of the brand “Beauty Ladies”.
Gartenbau Janßen relies on technology from Mayer in its new production line. The starting point is the Mayer bale breaker BZ 6160, which loosens up the Big Bale and transfers it to the bunker of the mixer in line with demand. In the Mayer soil mixer EM 6012, the substrate is moistened and enriched with fertilizer additives. In the third step, up to 10,000 pots per hour are separated, filled and watered in the Mayer potting machine TM 2700 XL. Finally, the pots are transported to the tables by means of a pneumatic transfer and belts. The entire process is fully automatic and can be controlled and monitored by one person.
