Nursery Reisner - the nursery in harmony with nature
Just in time for the start of the new season, the young plants arrive at Gärtnerei Reisner in Kirchschlag, Austria for pot filling. Here, up to 80 genera of bedding and balcony plants with over 250 different varieties are planted on site.
The beginnings of the Reisner nursery go back to 1936, when Franz Reisner started growing vegetables and plants. In 1975, son Gottfried takes over the business. The nursery grows, new machines are purchased and more and more greenhouses and glasshouses are built.
In the course of this growth, Gärtnerei Reisner relies on the latest technology for horticulture. In 2020, the Mayer bale breaker BZ 6160 was therefore installed on site and is now being used for the first time for the new season. The BZ 6160 processes big bales up to 2.7 M and, thanks to its particularly ergonomic design, allows problem-free handling. The employees are more than satisfied with the combination of the BZ 6160 and the automatic laser-controlled Mayer filling system. In addition, the substrate is irrigated during filling via a controlled solenoid valve.
To further optimize and automate their entire planting process, in the fall of 2020, Gärtnerei Reisner additionally decided to purchase the Mayer potting machine TM 1610, which can process up to 2,800 pots per hour. With the additional option of the belt storage, the pots are stored in front of the pot magazine of the TM 1610. This saves a lot of time and effort, as manual reloading of the pots is reduced enormously.
After the pots have been filled, they are automatically forwarded via the Mayer conveyor belt for further processing.
