Janßen Group: New planting line set up!
As part of the further automation of the company, our long-standing partner, the Janßen Group, has opted for a new planting line including the new Mayer buffer table PT 5000. Hubert Janßen, Owner & Managing Director: “Once again, everything went very well. We can rely on Mayer and are very satisfied with their innovative solutions.” This year, the Janßen Group realized a completely new building for the production of young plants. The Mayer PT 5000 was integrated as part of the associated new planting line. The buffer table can be individually adapted to the needs of our customers and can be integrated into complete systems. Just like in the Janßen Group’s new planting line. We manufactured a mist irrigation system above the buffer table according to the customer’s individual requirements, plus a frame made of double-webbed panels and the opening mechanism via remote control from the forklift. The planting line on two levels with performance-adapting PLC control and the option of documenting the work output via Ethernet or USB interface.
The Janßen Group is a medium-sized family business from Kevelaer on the Lower Rhine. The company is now in its third generation. Where once the grandparents grew vegetables, the Janßen Group now produces the heather plant Calluna vulgaris of the Beauty Seasons® brand, as well as Lavandula angustifolia, Pernettya mucronata, Erica carnea of the Beauty Seasons® brand and Erica ventricosa on 30 hectares of open land and 4 hectares of greenhouses. In search of new challenges and innovative new products, the range is constantly growing. The aim is to maintain quality at the highest level at all times while protecting the environment – in line with the company motto: “Committed to generations of nature and quality”.
